In a quiet corner of Southwold close to everything in the popular seaside town, this beautiful flat makes an idyllic hideaway. It’s on the ground floor and has lots of space for two, a private courtyard perfect for BBQs, a king-size bedroom, and a daybed. There are pubs, cafes, shops, and restaurants nearby and it’s perfectly placed for exploring the coast.
Beautifully furnished and well-appointed throughout, the cottage makes a very comfortable place to stay. Step into the hallway and go through to the large living room, sink into the plush sofas, and relax. It’s a lovely light room with a bay window, a decorative fireplace, and a TV for evenings in. There’s also a daybed in the cosy corner for daytime snoozing or a bed for older children. Cook up delicious meals in the spacious kitchen/diner, well-equipped for a self-catering break, it has a Nespresso Vertuo Plus coffee maker, and enjoy your creations together at the dining table. Sleep well in the stylish king-size bedroom, with a decorative fireplace and bold coloured tiles, where you can watch TV in bed. There’s also a shower room. A door in the living room goes out to the enclosed courtyard. Light the BBQ and eat al fresco and take your morning cuppa outside before you start the day.
Wander to Southwold’s beaches next to the promenade (0.5 miles). Spend the day sunbathing and paddling on Southwold Pier Beach, or visit wilder Southwold Denes Beach, perfect for flying kites, surfing, and paddle boarding (both less than 1 mile away). Carry on from Denes beach to the harbour (1.5 miles) and catch the foot ferry (summer only) to the unspoilt village of Walberswick. Pick up ingredients for dinner on your way home or eat out at one of Southwold’s excellent restaurants.
