Suffolk Secrets are proud of our local community links and we always strive to support worthwhile causes and events when we can. It is with our values in mind that we are proudly supporting the fireworks at the Art For Cure event. This wonderful event supports a worthwhile cause and we hope we can support this in the years to come.
What's is Art for Cure?
Art For Cure is a Suffolk based, all volunteer breast cancer charity that stages art and sculpture events to raise money for national leading-edge breast cancer research and support to services for those facing a breast cancer diagnosis here in Suffolk.
Belinda Gray founded the charity, now nationally acclaimed, following her own experience of breast cancer 10 years ago in her 40’s. Initially intended to be a one-off art exhibition to raise money for research following a year of aggressive treatment, she cleared out her house of all furniture and created a gallery of art and sculpture indoors and out raising a staggering £100,000 in a weekend!
Eight years on and after staging exhibitions at Glemham Hall, Somerleyton Hall, Ballroom Arts in Aldeburgh and Bankside next to Tate Modern as well as online shows and a 45 rider-strong cycle challenge in 2018 from Vietnam – Cambodia (with another planned this November in Kerala) the charity has raised over a £million and are hosting this stunning exhibition FANFARE, returning to Belinda’s home and gardens just outside Woodbridge.
