Suffolk Getaway This October Half Term

Written by Leah Smith on

October half term is just around the corner and where better to be this autumnal season than in Suffolk. The temperatures have cooled down and the autumn leaves are crisp underfoot, so why not take the opportunity to visit some of Suffolk’s best loved coastal towns and rural villages with your loved ones.

There’s plenty to keep you busy over the course of half term – and not just for the kids! The RSPB reserve at Minsmere will be open to the public on various dates this week so bring your walking boots and discover an abundance of wildlife on your guided tour. The kids can get ‘spooked’ by a range of events taking place such as ‘Pleasurewood Chills’ at Pleasurewood Hills and the Landguard ‘Spooky Day’ at the Felixstowe Museum.

There’s still time to book a last minute break and we have some fantastic cottages still available for a short break stay or week and we’ve listed below some of our favourites:

Kintyre in Southwold – Sleeps 4.
Great for: Families and couples wishing to explore the town centre and the Pier.

Curlew Cottage in Woodbridge – Sleeps 5.
Great for: Families and just a short walk away to the Thoroughfare.

Seafront Sunrise in Felixstowe – Sleeps 6
Great for: Families looking to be based right on the Felixstowe seafront.

Heather View in Middleton – Sleeps 4
Great for: Small families or a couple and two dogs are welcome too!

For more information on our lovely Suffolk holiday cottages above give our friendly team a call on 01502 722717 and we’d be delighted to book a cottage for you. We are also happy to help recommend places to visit and things to do whilst holidaying here in this lovely county.
