Over the centuries Suffolk has been the inspiration of many a poet, artist and composer.  Each year across various stages, concert halls and arenas we celebrate our love music and the arts at a plethora of wonderful festivals and concerts.

Whatever your style, Suffolk has something to satisfy your senses this summer.  Here’s a snapshot of the line-up of musical celebrations taking place in 2016.  We think the perfect way to enjoy these magical musical occasions is as part of a self-catering cottage holiday and here at Suffolk Secrets we have a great selection to choose from.

Aldeburgh Festival – 10th to 26th June

This year’s 17-day celebration with birds, circus and pianos at its heart takes place at the home of Aldeburgh Music, world renowned Snape Maltings. Within the spectacular line up of performances are the BBC Symphony Orchestra, The Monteverdi Choir and a family concert presented by the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group. There will also be a series of walks and talks plus free music every lunchtime at the Bandstand on the Beach.
