Holly House is a beautiful, modern, bright, and spacious self-catering holiday home located within central Thorpeness on the Suffolk Coast. The holiday cottage is situated on the Suffolk Coastal Path, overlooks the Thorpeness Country Club and is just a short walk to the beach, the Meare, golf club, village shop, tearooms, Dolphin Inn and bus stop. All the amenities you desire are on your doorstep. Holly House is also a pleasant half hour walk along the beach to the coastal town of Aldeburgh with its many shops, restaurants and yacht club.

Holly House has been carefully furnished to a high standard and perfect for families or a group of friends with its flexible bedroom configurations and ample living areas. The cottage offers beautiful gardens to the front and rear of the property, with seating and outside dining facilities for you to enjoy during the warmer months as well as private parking for up to two cars.

Inside you are welcomed into a large entrance hall with vaulted ceiling which leads to a fully equipped modern kitchen with bi-folding doors opening out onto the rear garden. There is a separate utility room. There are also two large reception rooms perfect for spending time together as a family.

Upstairs there are Three good sized bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room as well as a separate family bathroom.

FIRST FLOOR

Bathroom: Free standing bath, shower cubicle, washbasin and wc.

Garden: Front and rear garden mainly laid to lawn with flowerbeds, trees and shrubs and a beautiful patio area. There are several seating areas and an eating area with garden furniture.
Parking: Private for two cars.
Heating: Gas heating.
Notes: Wi-Fi, towels, bedding and a starter pack of wood for the wood burner are all provided. A security deposit of £200 is required four weeks prior to your holiday. Please note that the owner occasionally brings a pet to the property so may not be suitable for allergy sufferers.

Thorpeness was a favourite of JM Barrie, and the Meare is a re-creation of the Peter Pan story. It is in active use from Easter to October, when you can hire canoes, rowing, sail boats etc., and enjoy Thorpeness Regatta. Other amenities include the award winning Dolphin Inn, the famous Thorpeness 18-hole golf course, Thorpeness Country Club tennis courts (to the front of Holly House), a village shop/deli and Meare tearooms. The beaches are beautiful (Aldeburgh is a 20 minute walk along the beach), and a myriad of footpaths over heath and common land lead from the door, e.g. to Dunwich and RSPB Minsmere.

Reviews

A well presented modern house which has been tastefully refurbished. The house is a few minutes stroll from the beach and the Meare. The small village shop and pub are very close by. A peaceful spot for a holiday which felt safe and secure.
