Lodge Farm Cottage is a charming property which benefits from stunning surrounding views and is situated halfway between both Sudbourne and the exceptionally popular coastal town of Orford. The property, which has just undergone a complete refurbishment, offers cosy and contemporary accommodation throughout whilst retaining its character and charm. The modern kitchen breakfast room is well equipped and is fitted with everything you would need for the perfect stay, which includes a range of shaker style units, pantry, butler sink, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. A small breakfast table here is a good spot for catching up on the morning news! A cosy living room is located towards the front of the property and as such gets the spectacular views across the countryside towards Orford. Lodge Farm Cottage can accommodate 4 guests, with a King Size bedroom and a further twin, a newly fitted bathroom and additional utility room completing the accommodation. There is ample outside space which can be enjoyed and includes a large patio area to the side of the property, a wonderful place to have an early cup of tea or enjoy the evening sunset with a glass of wine.
Thanks to its positioning halfway between Orford and Sudbourne, Lodge Farm Cottage is in an ideal location of those looking to explore. The popular coastal village of Orford is reachable by a short walk (approximately 20 minutes) and has several well established places to eat , including the well known Pump Street Bakery and Butley Oysterage as well as two dine in pubs and the Crown and Castle hotel restaurant. In addition there is the well-equipped village shop (which can take pre-orders should you wish for anything specifically), fresh and smoked fish at the quay and the butcher. There's also a vast variety of footpaths in the surrounding area, covering both farmland, woodland and coastline. We really recommend packing not only a pair of walking boots, but also a set of binoculars; the views and wildlife are stunning and you'll be sure to see something of interest.
So for a holiday in a peaceful location, just a short drive from the beautiful Suffolk coastline, you should consider Lodge Farm Cottage as your next self-catering oasis. And if you are part of a large group, why not book The Green Shed and Lodge Farm Barn too. Pub: 1.1 miles, Shop: 1.1 miles.

To give our cleaners enough time to complete the additional cleaning and sanitising that is currently needed to keep our guests safe, check-in and check-out times at the majority of our properties have been temporarily revised. The revised times for this property are reflected above.
This is a wonderfully located property with superb views over the fields and you can see hares running about. It was very clean and warm. I did find the kitchen needed a few more things and mentioned this to the owner - colander, large saucepan for cooking pasta, pasta bowls to eat out of. Also, some bowls you could use to cook with in the microwave. Sadly, more of us will be eating in these days due to Covid. We would definitely return as we had a really good stay.
We've enjoyed a relaxing week. The cottage has been a lovely location with great views. Amazing wildlife! Thank you for the 'welcome pack' - locally produced bread, jam and apple juice. We'll be back!
Thank you for such a wonderful stay. Perfect location. Peaceful and quiet. We'll be back!
A lovely spot with views to the sea on the horizon. Secluded and with great walking and surrounded by nature. Exceptional cottage in every aspect - comfortable and homely.
A really nice place with lovely walks and bike rides nearby. A really good view from the windows. Also a lot of wildlife on our doorstep! Amazing cottage, would definitely recommend.
