Prepare for a romantic getaway in this beautiful Suffolk lodge. You’ll stay in the charming village of Snape, surrounded by wildlife and stunning countryside. It’s the perfect spot to take a break, reconnect with your partner and, if you like, you can bring your dogs, too.
This property is all on one level. Most of the space is dedicated to an open-plan living area, which is lit through sliding glass doors during the daytime and warmed by a wood burner in the evenings. There are different areas for cooking, eating and relaxing, so you can cook your partner’s favourite meal and enjoy it before curling up together on the sofa. When it’s time to head to bed, you’ll find a beautiful cream room for rest. If required, this can be organised as a twin bedroom instead of a king-size. It comes complete with an en-suite bathroom. The lodge is surrounded by a picturesque garden with a shaded veranda overlooking the lawn and nearby field, and then a BBQ and a picnic table for summer evenings.
Snape is best known for its fantastic concert hall and the Aldeburgh Festival. For days out in nature, the marshes are 1.5 miles away and Snape Warren is also 1.5 miles away. Both are full of incredible creatures and wonderful to visit. You’ll be conveniently close to the coast, and trips to Thorpeness (5.5 miles) or Aldeburgh (5 miles) are sure to be plenty of fun. Finish your holiday with a day at Leiston Abbey (5.5 miles) or Franglingham (9 miles), both of which are rich in history. Framlingham Castle housed Bloody Mary before she took the English throne from Lady Jane Grey.
