Snape is best known as the venue for the Aldeburgh Festival and for other events throughout the year held in the Maltings Concert Hall. However, the pretty village, at the head of the tidal estuary, is a popular holiday venue in its own right and central for exploring the unique area of the Suffolk Heritage Coast – the tidal estuary and network of footpaths are one of the most interesting areas of Suffolk for exploring on foot. There is easy access to the fascinating coastal town of Aldeburgh, plus castles and much more to explore at Framlingham and Orford. The burial treasures at Sutton Hoo, near Woodbridge, should not be missed also.

To give our cleaners enough time to complete the additional cleaning and sanitising that is currently needed to keep our guests safe, check-in and check-out times at the majority of our properties have been temporarily revised. The revised times for this property are reflected above.
A lovely, cosy cottage a short walk from Snape Maltings. It was well equipped and has a nice garden for enjoying the sun when it shines. It is an ideal location for exploring the Suffolk Heritage Coast.
Super cottage, very comfortable and well-equipped. Location is excellent for local walks, the Sailor's Path is a few minutes away, as is Snape Maltings. Lovely eateries very close at hand too. Aldeburgh just 5-10 minutes drive away. The only thing to be aware of is that the road next to the property can get busy, and a little noisy with traffic, although it's really only during the day, it didn't disturb us at night.
