Spot all the mermaid accents in this lovingly presented holiday home in the village of Snape. With walks on its doorstep and pristine beaches just a short drive away, a stay here provides the perfect chance to explore Suffolk’s heritage coastline. Surrounded by AONB appeal and just a short distance from so many family-friendly attractions, you’re sure to make memories that’ll last a lifetime when staying in this wonderful place. The abode itself sleeps six guests across three sprawling storeys, more than enough space for all to spread out, and is dog-friendly for those who wish to bring along one or two canine companions.

Venture inside to find clean interiors, nautical accents and exceptionally comfortable furniture in each room. Along with a cloakroom and WC, the ground floor is thoughtfully laid out with a lounge and a kitchen/diner next door, the two rooms connected by sociable double doors which can be left open or closed. From the lounge, you can also appreciate direct access to a fully enclosed garden, a perfect spot for children or pets to play as you savour a sundowner. The master bedroom can be found on the first floor, an appealing king-size room with its own en-suite. Two further bedrooms and an additional bathroom are easily located between the first and second floors.

Lace up your walking boots and set out to explore Snape, ticking off the Snape Warren Circuit, the Sailor’s Path (both 0.5 miles) and a walk along the river to Iken Church (3 miles) during your stay. Speaking of the river, you can also embark on a river cruise from Snape Maltings (1 mile), a wonderful way to spot wildlife and see the scenery without exerting too much energy. The rushing river leads all the way down to Aldeburgh (5.5 miles) where you’ll also find your nearest beach for those hot and sunny days.

The cottage's situation is good and provides a good base for exploring Suffolk and especially convenient for accessing Snape Maltings. Another good point is that it is not overlooked.

Lovely property. Great location near snape maltings and close enough to aldeburgh and the sea. House is large and well equipped - large bedrooms and lovely and bright. We had a great stay and look forward to returning.

Oven and grill need a good clean - Kettle unusable (was in a disgusting state) - some paintwork was grubby - garden needs tidying and has an ant problem which could affect the inside soon - tin opener old fashioned and unusable - windows have not been cleaned for months - Apart from that we enjoyed our stay but however with Read morea little more care it could have been 10 out of 10 or indeed 5 star.
