Aldeburgh and the surrounding area has inspired many authors and poets in the past but the most famous son of the town is Benjamin Britten, who founded the Aldeburgh Music Festival, which now has worldwide acclaim and is held every year in June at Snape Maltings. Fishermen still pull their colourful boats up on the shingle beach and sell fresh fish from the picturesque huts. The wide, mainly Georgian high street has many attractive buildings whilst the seafront properties all have commanding views of the beach and the North Sea. Boating is popular on the nearby Alde estuary where a large variety of yachts can be seen at summer weekends. Aldeburgh is also home to one of the oldest golf clubs in Suffolk and has the added benefit of two courses which is perfect for visitors of the local area.

To give our cleaners enough time to complete the additional cleaning and sanitising that is currently needed to keep our guests safe, check-in and check-out times at the majority of our properties have been temporarily revised. The revised times for this property are reflected above.
A lovely modern home from home, beautifully decorated with everything you could need. Very comfy beds, good quality linen and towels. Well placed for town but it is a good 15 min walk and is a steep hill on the way home.
This property is utterly stunning and has been equipped to a very high standard. We loved the layout over 3 floors, having a second lounge was a bonus. The main lounge is light filled and very restful. The location is fantastic as it's a 5 minute walk to the Scallop/beach and a short walk along to the town with so many independent shops, cafes etc. Walk along to Thorpeness from the house or round past the marshes to the Brudenell hotel end of the town. We are rebooking straight away, we all loved it!
