Aldeburgh and the surrounding area have inspired many authors and poets in the past, but the most famous son of the town is Benjamin Britten who founded the Aldeburgh Music Festival which now has worldwide acclaim and is held every year in June at Snape Maltings. Fishermen still pull their colourful boats up on the shingle beach and sell fresh fish from the picturesque huts. The wide, mainly Georgian high street has many attractive buildings with a variety of quality shops, restaurants and art galleries. The nearby Alde estuary and Thorpeness Meare offer a great variety of water-based activities.

Beautiful house with a very well equipped kitchen. Very good location for walking to the town, the beach and to Thorpeness. Lovely welcome pack when we arrived and an Adnams welcome pack too which was a wonderful surprise. The fire was a bonus which we sat around most evenings. Would highly recommend.
What a fantastic property. Absolutely amazing inside with a well equipped kitchen and lovely sitting areas both inside and out. All the bedrooms were lovely too and as a bonus 3 had fantastic en-suite facilities. The property is only 10 mins walk from the high street and an even shorter walk from the beach. A fantastic place for a family holiday and we are already making plans to visit again.
Very well maintained property with easy access to the beach and to the centre of town. Nicely furnished and with lots of space for the family to relax. We had a lovely stay - thank you!
The property has an excellent lawn and seating area at the rear of the property. This area is bathed with sunshine most of the day. Access to the shops is provided by a myriad of interesting footpaths. The town has an abundance of traditional dining facilities. We recommend the property to all groups of holiday makers. Hopefully we will return in the near future. Terry Eagling & Family
