Description

The Brick House is a modern house of brick and glass construction, designed by James Gorst and situated in a prime location, on a private road, within the popular coastal town of Aldeburgh. With an exceptionally large kitchen/dining/living space and a further large living room, the property offers ample space for everyone. It is an ideal choice for families or larger gatherings, given its spacious accommodation throughout and modern interiors.

Banks of glass sliding doors and windows within each of these rooms, allows the light to flood through the ground floor and opens up the house in a most unusual way, allowing guests to pass from one side of the house to the other and onto the large terrace and lawned garden.

The property further benefits from well-proportioned bedrooms, including a large king with en-suite bathroom/shower room, a double bedroom and two further bedrooms accommodating two guests within each.

The Brick House is a fantastic property, sleeping 8 guests with three bathrooms, with a large private garden and parking. With its wood burning stoves, it is an ideal choice for those looking to visit the coast, no matter what the time of year!

Why we love this property: Close to the beach, shops and restaurants, this property is an ideal choice for those wishing to be in the heart of Aldeburgh! We love it for its light and space.

Aldeburgh and the surrounding area has inspired many authors and poets in the past but the most famous son of the town is Benjamin Britten, who founded the Aldeburgh Music Festival, which now has worldwide acclaim and is held every year in June at Snape Maltings. Fishermen still pull their colourful boats up on the shingle beach and sell fresh fish from the picturesque huts. The wide, mainly Georgian high street has many attractive buildings whilst the seafront properties all have commanding views of the beach and the North Sea. Boating is popular on the nearby Alde estuary where a large variety of yachts can be seen at summer weekends.
