Description

Seacroft is an outstanding holiday home with the wow factor - a fusion of period features, 21st century living and coastal style…

Situated just off the high Street, with accommodation over three floors, Seacroft has a fabulous living space on the ground floor, with three bedrooms on the two upper floors, a very comfortable holiday cottage for six guests. The cosy sitting room retains original features with a window seat and open fire and a lovely wooden floor. A very calm room, perfect for relaxing after a busy day on the beach or exploring the many footpaths around Aldeburgh and the Suffolk coast.

This self catering holiday cottage has a fabulous open plan contemporary kitchen and dining room…  spacious and bright with velux roof lights, beautifully decorated with touches of blue and grey in true coastal style. This is a lovely sociable place with plenty of room for everyone to get together and relax over dinner. The kitchen is very well equipped with dishwasher and all the usual appliances. The main focus has to be the amazing bifold doors which open up onto the courtyard garden… allowing guests to pour out into the garden on warm sunny days and enjoy the best of both worlds. The garden comes complete with a wicker corner sofa and coffee table - perfect for enjoying aperitifs or a morning coffee - well you are on holiday after all!

Aldeburgh and the surrounding area has inspired many authors and poets in the past but the most famous son of the town is Benjamin Britten, who founded the Aldeburgh Music Festival, which now has worldwide acclaim and is held every year in June at Snape Maltings. Fishermen still pull their colourful boats up on the shingle beach and sell fresh fish from the picturesque huts. The wide, mainly Georgian high street has many attractive buildings whilst the seafront properties all have commanding views of the beach and the North Sea. Boating is popular on the nearby Alde estuary where a large variety of yachts can be seen at summer weekends. Aldeburgh is also home to one of the oldest golf clubs in Suffolk and has the added benefit of two courses which is perfect for visitors of the local area.
