Property code: OC-MILE

This elegant and comfortable house is equipped for a large family or group of friends, and welcomes a canine companion, too. Boasting a table tennis table and a Wii games console for holiday fun, it’s handily situated within easy reach of the beach, shops, pubs and restaurants of bustling Aldeburgh.

Decorated in soft and pretty tones throughout, the cottage has real style while being very practical for a stress-free holiday. The spacious kitchen has everything you’ll need to prepare group meals, including an American-style fridge/freezer, and the separate dining room boasts a touch of French flair. After supper you can either relax and unwind in the lounge with its TV and flame-effect gas fire, or get competitive playing table tennis or on the Wii. Head up to the first floor and you’ll find three bedrooms: one king-size, one double, and one with a bunk bed that has a single bed above a 4’ double, plus another separate single bunk bed. The bedrooms share a wonderful family bathroom which features a roll-top bath, a separate shower cubicle and twin basins. In terms of outside space, there’s a small front garden and a large rear garden, which has a patio and outdoor furniture for you to enjoy a morning cuppa or an evening drink in the fresh Suffolk air.

The property is located about a mile from the heart of Aldeburgh and its wide, mainly Georgian high street, which is full of independent shops, galleries and places to eat - including the town’s famously good fish and chips! Explore further by hiring an e-bike and heading into the countryside, walk the coast path to Thorpeness (2 miles), or get out on the water with a trip up the Alde Estuary on a canoe, kayak or stand-up paddleboard.

The property was very well equipped with everything you might need for a perfect holiday. The location was good, not too far from shops, the beach and the town centre. Despite the rain on a few occasions there were plenty of places to visit and the various beaches, especially Southwold, were great. We were a family of 4 with a 2years old and a Read moresmall dog and the property really suited us. The back garden was a bonus and once the grass had been mowed after we arrived it was a welcome space to sit and relax. Would definitely recommend to others. Hide

This is a well located family home, perfectly positioned to walk into Aldeburgh, to the beach or the park! Shops close by and plenty to keep amused. The house is very comfortable and equipped to deal with a big family or group of friends. We loved it and this was our second visit! We will be back!
