Mayflower cottage is perfect for your seaside escape at any time of the year. This beautifully presented and well equipped holiday cottage comes with a pretty south-facing garden and private parking, much sought after in Aldeburgh.
This delightful holiday cottage is situated on Church Farm, an award winning development at the northern end of Aldeburgh, one of the most picturesque seaside towns along the Suffolk coast.
The boutiques, cafes and shops of Aldeburgh High Street are just a 7-minute walk away from Mayflower Cottage, and you certainly won't need the car for a daytrip to Thorpeness, just take a stroll along the beach (which is just 5-minutes away on foot), admiring 'The Scallop', an iconic sculpture by Maggi Hambling, dedicated to local composer Benjamin Britten, along the way.
The lounge at Mayflower Cottage is a warm and inviting room, with soft colours and character wood burner (ideal for those cosy winter nights in front of the fire), whilst the dining room which adjoins the tasteful shaker-style kitchen has double patio doors leading to a pretty south-facing garden, perfect for summer evenings. There's even a BBQ provided for your use.
Upstairs are three well-appointed bedrooms; a double (with super-king size bed), a twin (two single beds) and a single, each with a coastal theme, plus a spacious family bathroom –perfect for a seaside holiday in Suffolk. Shop: 500 yards Pub: 500 yards.

Our second stay here and it has been just as good as the first - plus sunshine! Thank you for the flowers, the goodie basket and the care and attention to detail.
Another fabulous week in Aldeburgh.....warm weather definitely helped! Thank you for the 'welcome' basket. It was greatly appreciated - and the beautiful flowers.
Thank you again for a lovely stay - the flowers were beautiful! Also the welcome 'goodies'. After several stays here we finally discovered The Red House. It's a wonderful place and the garden was inspirational.
Very comfortable property presented to a high standard. Some nice touches to make you feel welcome on arrival (welcome card, fresh flowers, milk, tea, coffee , cake etc) I think this was our sixth stay which probably says it all. We have stayed as a couple and as a family, ideal for both. Feels very much like our second home.
14th - 20th May 2022 It took us three years to return to this lovely place thanks to two postponements due to Covid. It was worth persisting. The house was as fresh and lovely as we remembered it. With great weather we leave Aldeburgh with yet more happy memories. The Bennetts
Thank you for a wonderful stay! A real home from home. The welcome hamper was a real treat. We would love to come back, or recommend to others.
A very well appointed self catering property - would certainly return here if/when we next visit Aldeburgh....Many thanks for the welcome pack - appreciated. Also, flowers a nice touch.
This Mayflower Cottage was near to the sea excellent facilities and we We’re sorry to be leaving also loved Aldburgh
Thank-you for a wonderful week. Lovely, comfortable, well equipped cottage. Very comfortable stay. Amazing weather - coats not needed. Will be back soon.
Such a lovely welcome pack, thank you so much. Had a very restful week and lucky enough to have some warm sunny weather too. Mixed work with a little holiday. Always wonderful to visit Aldeburgh and enjoy the lovely walks. Thank you so much.
Thank you for another wonderful stay here at Mayflower Cottage! The delicious welcome treats and flowers are always a great start to the holiday - thank you. We love coming here to Aldeburgh and visiting our favourite places (Thorpeness, Walberswick, Southwold and Dunwich). A particular highlight this time was visiting Orford Castle in the howling wind! We'll definitely be coming back soon!
It's been a joy to revisit Suffolk - seeing all our favourite places, and so lovely to come "home" to Mayflower Cottage each evening. Thank you for the very warm welcome and the beautifully maintained and equipped house. We shall return!
It was lovely to be back in Aldeburgh after two years and to be staying in Mayflower Cottage. For us the attraction of Aldeburgh is that it is a restful and familiar place to stay, with little seeming to change from year to year! The welcoming pack of goodies always starts the holiday on a happy note!
Mayflower Cottage was very comfortable and homely. The welcome pack was much appreciated when we arrived after a long journey. Everywhere was very clean and the kitchen very well equipped and only a short distance to walk to the beach.
Two weeks this time and our fourth visit. We have enjoyed this visit even more, with warm weather on many of the days. Sitting in the garden in the late afternoon sun has been a real pleasure..... Mayflower Cottage is superb and continues to be the cleanest holiday cottage we have stayed in. Thank you for the welcome pack and the beautiful flowers.
What a wonderful week! We have been so lucky with the weather, glorious sunshine every day. Mayflower Cottage is fabulous, a real home from home with everything you might possibly need. The beach is so close and it's a lovely walk into town for dinner, coffee or an ice-cream.....Walks at sunset to Thorpeness was the icing on the cake. We come to Suffolk most years usually staying in Woodbridge, but Mayflower Cottage will be our base in the future. Deb & Ray
Mayflower cottage was the cleanest and best presented of the many cottages we have rented over the years. An easy walk to beach and town, yet in a very quiet and peaceful setting. Will definitely be returning and happy to recommend.
The property is a 10 min walk from the seafront, well equipped with lovely back garden and there is no problem with parking the car.
Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. All the amenities we needed and more! Phil, Anne, Evie & Samuel
Beautifully maintained, furnished and equipped cottage and garden. Ideally positioned in a quiet area within easy walking distance to beach, town and shops.
Mayflower Cottage has been a true home from home. The house was very comfortable and had everything that a family needs. Thank you for the welcome basket too. We plan to return next summer.
It has been said before but we also have had a lovely stay in Mayflower. It has felt like home as soon as we walked through the door. The attention to detail is superb and the cottage is immaculate. We love Alderburg and the surrounding area and have visited many times but this cottage has been the best by far....Hope to return next year-Thank you
2nd - 9th July After a 450 mile journey over 11 hours and many roadworks, drawing up at the door and entering Mayflower Cottage as always made it all worthwhile. See you next year all being well.
Thank you for all the thoughtful details which have made us so welcome and comfortable here. We have had such an enjoyable time in our first expedition after lockdown.
Thank you so much for making our stay in Mayflower Cottage so comfortable.....super comfy bed, large soft towels, well equipped kitchen etc. We also enjoyed the little extras - fresh flowers, welcome basket...Thank you! This is our first time to Suffolk and it certainly didn't disappoint. The sunshine obviously helped. We will certainly make a return visit.
Spotlessly clean. Well equipped. Nice compact garden with Patio furniture and BBQ. Nicely located in a very quiet area but close to shops and the town/beach.
Comfortable convenient & very clean. Welcome pack much appreciated. Location good. Enjoyed Mayflower very much.
We've had a lovely stay - thank you! The cottage is lovely and very comfortable with so many nice touches. It was especially welcome after all the lockdowns and wonderful to spend time together as a family for the first time in over 12 months!
We've so enjoyed our stay in your delightful cottage. It's the first time we've been away from home for more than 2 hours since the first lockdown so we were feeling somewhat apprehensive. After coming through the front door here it didn't take us long to relax. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, cosy & comfortable. I won't mention the weather - but when we return for our 2nd visit we sincerely hope it's going to be a lot better!
Thank you again for a comfortable stay, the welcome pack and the flowers. We do miss the home baking though! A mixed weather week but we did plenty of our favourite things including Orfordness, Minsmere, Southwold, Thorpeness and Woodbridge.
This is our fifth stay which probably says it all. Very well presented and homely. Spotlessly clean. Everything you need and more. Great “welcome” pack of basics and treats. All aspects well thought out by owners. Will be booking again for next year
Mayflower Cottage is a very comfortable holiday home in a great location. It is amazingly well equipped and we honestly wanted for nothing. The location is perfect -an easy 10 minute walk into lovely Aldeburgh and very central to drive to Snape, Woodbridge etc.
We have really enjoyed staying at Mayflower Cottage. It has been the best! One of the best holiday places we have been to! Lovely bedrooms, kitchen and lounge room. We are so close to the beach, we went down nearly every day. Thank you for making our stay amazing.
Clean, well equipped, beautiful. Thank you. Thanks also for the Christmas presents - Nice! We were so sad we had to leave on Christmas day to go home due to the new government regs. We will, when this is over, come again. Warwick & Sue
