How to book a longer let with Suffolk Secrets

If you require somewhere to rent between November and March for a bit longer than a week or two, then a few of our holiday cottages are available for what we term ‘Flexilets’.

Flexilets allow you to book a property for between two to five months on a fixed term lease during our quieter winter months – ideal if you are between homes or need somewhere to rent for that little bit longer than just a holiday…

How to book a Flexilet:

We have tried to make it as simple and flexible as possible to book a Flexilet with Suffolk Secrets – below is a quick outline of the steps that we need to take to get you into your property as quickly as possible. If you need to move immediately, then please give us a call, as we can always put you up on a holiday basis while we sort the paperwork out for a longer let.

1. You can view all of our cottages currently available for Flexilets by going to www.suffollk-secrets.co.uk/flexilets.htm or by calling one of our friendly staff who will be happy to help.
2. All of the Flexilet prices are shown in blocks of four weeks (28 days) – this makes it easy for you to book an exact number of weeks, rather than months, for maximum flexibility.
3. Once you have chosen a property that is available and suitable for you, we will ask you to fill in a simple application form and return this to us as soon as possible to get the ball rolling.
4. Once we receive your application form, we will immediately ask for two references about you.
5. As soon as we have collected references that we are happy with, we will draw up an agreement between you and the holiday Homeowner. This agreement will be a fixed term lease for the entire term of your stay. At this stage we will charge you £40 + VAT for drawing up the agreement.
6. At the beginning of your tenancy, you will be required to pay 4 weeks rent in advance, as well as a sum equal to the 4 weekly rent to be held by the landlord in case of any damage caused to the property during your stay
7. That’s it! All we ask is that you then pay your rental promptly every four weeks as agreed – and, of course, look after the property as if it were your own! Please give us a call if you have any questions.
