FAQs

Question: On the booking and availability pages I notice the word 'Changeover Day' is used - What does this mean?

Answer: The 'Changeover Day' is the day of the week that the cottage is available for you to start your holiday. In most cases this is a Friday as it is the most convenient day of the week for customers to arrive and allows a full weekend short break in Suffolk.

Question: Do all your properties include linen and towels?  And how about heating?

Answer: All our properties include linen and heating inclusive in the price you pay.  When you pay the balance of your Suffolk holiday and receive your travel details, they will tell you if towels are included but if you want to know before that, just give us a ring.  Generally speaking, 4 star properties will either have towels included or for hire.

Question: I would like to stay in one of your self catering cottages but I have a dog and the property I have chosen doesn't take pets.  Do you think the owner would make an exception?

Answer: If a property doesn't take pets it can be for several reasons.  Firstly, the owner may worry about damage to carpets and furnishings, secondly they may not like pets themselves and thirdly they may have an allergy.  As far as the customer is concerned, if they book a pet-free property they can be assured that they too are safe from allergy problems.  For this reason alone, it would not be right for us to ask an owner to take a pet in a pet-free property.

Question: It seems to me that 4.00pm is very late to have to arrive at my holiday property.  Why can’t I come in earlier?

Answer: All our Suffolk holiday cottages are thoroughly cleaned between lets and the housekeepers need sufficient time to do this.  If you are coming to stay in the Winter, however, (excluding Christmas, New Year and School Half Terms) and you particularly need to gain access to your property earlier in the afternoon, please give us a ring a couple of days before and we will check to see if this is possible.

Question: Do all Suffolk cottages provide high chairs and/or cots?

Answer: Some of our holiday homes offer travel cots and high chairs; have a look at the symbols on the property page and it should tell you. If your chosen property does not and you require one it may be possible to hire one from a local company. If you are still unsure then simply contact us and we can help you with your questions.
