Thorpness Windmill
Description:
Thorpeness Windmill is a post mill, one of two common types of mill found in England. It was built in 1824 and was used for grinding corn until 1921. It was then dismantled and moved to its present location and was used to pump water. Today it is owned by Suffolk County Council who maintain it and it is now a visitor centre to promote the Heritage Coast.
