Wenhaston is a pretty and well served village with a choice of two pubs within a mile. There are also three lovely areas of open common within the parish which are ideal for walking. The coastal resort and nature reserves are all within easy reach - Wenhaston is only six miles from Southwold and Walberswick. The southern broads and many inland beauty spots can be found within half an hour's drive. Trains are only four miles away at Halesworth. Regular bus services run through the village to Southwold, Lowestoft and Aldeburgh.

Rose Glen is a Grade II listed chocolate box cottage, built during the 16th century, which has been featured on a number of architectural television programmes. It has been beautifully restored and refurbished to a very high standard in 2006 and consists of a tasteful blend of modern and period furniture, exposed original beams throughout and a large inglenook fireplace.  Situated only 100 yds from the river Blyth and the unspoilt marshland landscape, it is an ideal cottage for getting away from it all and enjoying a relaxing break. Shop: 3 miles Pub: 200 yds
