Another Suffolk Secret – this time over the border in Essex! Point Clear is coastal and lies just to the west of the historic village of St Osyth, which has the lowest annual rainfall in England, boasts a selection of shops and restaurants, and the largest number of listed buildings in Essex. The village is just across the creek from Brightlingsea, one of the Cinque Ports, and there is a summer foot ferry that connects Mersea, Brightlingsea and Point Clear. This is an ideal base from which to explore Constable Country, Colchester and the coastal hamlets of Walton on the Naze, Frinton and Clacton-on-Sea.
Hycliffe is a detached single storey property with extensive sea views over Point Clear bay. The beach is practically on the doorstep and there is a beach café just a short walk away. From the conservatory, there are great views to the bird sanctuary in the bay. All in all, a perfect location for a holiday in summer or winter. Shop: Pub: |
