Laxfield itself is steeped in history with its own Guildhall and museum dating back to the 16th Century, two public houses, one being the well known ‘Kings Head’ (or ‘Low House’ as known locally), village shop with Post Office and not forgetting the beautiful Church which is just 10 minutes walk away. Those wishing to enjoy their walking may do so by starting the Circular Village Footpath almost from the Lodges. There are also numerous cycle routes to take in the surrounding countryside and the village of Stradbroke is just a 6 minute drive away where you will find a bakery, butcher, general shop, public houses, swimming pool and a doctor's surgery.
