Get away from it all at this quaint terraced cottage sitting in the delightful traditional village of Middleton. Sleeping four people across three bedrooms, this spacious home is an excellent choice for small families or groups of friends in search of a relaxing cottage to call home while they explore Suffolk’s breathtaking coastline and tranquil heaths. Spend wonderful days strolling the sands at Dunwich Beach or spotting wildlife at RSPB Minsmere Nature Reserve; and in the evening, come home to this welcoming cottage to fire up the charcoal BBQ and dine alfresco while you soak up the country views from the garden.

Step inside and you’ll be greeted by a bright and cheerful sitting room with subtle coastal-themed styling. Take a moment to make yourself at home in front of the glowing wood burner before heading to the stylish open-plan kitchen/diner. Rustle up some dinner for your loved ones in the spacious kitchen area and serve it in the cosy dining area. Head out through the French doors to the garden if you prefer to dine alfresco. After dinner, enjoy a drink on the patio while the stars come out, or head back to the sitting room to chill out in front of the TV. When the day is done there are three beautifully-styled bedrooms to choose from upstairs.

Grab your binoculars and have a wonderful day at RSPB Minsmere Nature Reserve (4 miles). Keep your eyes peeled for avocet, marsh harriers, otters and water voles. Or hop on a boat and sail over to the picturesque town of Southwold (11 miles), which is known for its colourful beach huts and iconic pier.

We had a delightful 3 night stay at Friday Place. Thanks for accommodating us at such short notice. The village and location was lovely. We were fortunate to experience music night laid on by the locals in the village pub (The Bell) which is only a short distance away and had great food. Great location to visit neighbouring villages such as WesRead moretleton. Also about halfway between Aldeburgh and Southwold. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Lovely cottage very well equipped very clean and comfortable garden amazing for our dog well fenced in so had no worries with escaping just a couple of issues with the downstairs bathroom toilet seat broken shower dipping so floor flooding outside garden light not working reported this to original cottages but had no feed back but this aside our feRead morew days stay at the cottage was very pleasant very central for Southwold and Aldeburgh Hide

A very pleasant cottage for a short stay. Much more airbnb than a 4*/5* cottage. Situation excellent but let down by minor internal faults.

We had a lovely stay at Friday Place. Middleton is a nice village with some good footpath walks for our 2 dogs. Great location for Dunwich, Walberswick, Southwold, Thorpeness, Aldeburgh etc. Thoroughly enjoyed our week.

Was our second visit to Friday Place we love it! perfect property to meet our needs with 2 small dogs it has the perfect enclosed garden so you can let them roam without having to keep checking on them. We have stayed in the colder months and also when we had a mini heatwave this week and when its cold outside its lovely and cosy inside and when iRead morets baking hot outside its lovely and cool inside couldnt ask for more Im sure we will be returning Hide

Generally good cottage but a couple of irritations. Car parking was very tight, even for a small sports car. Had we travelled in our 4x4 there would have been problems with next door. The oven and hob caused a lot of unnecessary stress. The hob rings kept turning themselves down when trying to boil a saucepan. The oven was operating well under tempRead moreerature even though the stat was working. The fan setting was the worst with the bottom of the oven significantly lower than the top; fan ovens are supposed even heat throughout. Hide

Property was as described, very clean and well equipped. The garden furniture was functional, however a little uncomfortable for a long period of time, and as the weather was beautiful, some more comfortable seats would have been nice.

We always overpack the car with items we might need! Fridays place was so well equipped that we didnt need any of the extras. Spotless throughout. The garden was perfect for our two dogs. A very relaxing place to stay.

Hard frosts and bright blue skies added to the attraction and cosiness of the cottage; lots of dog-walking on the local footpaths. We had a great time!
