This fabulous property, situated less than 50 metres from access to The Denes Beach in Southwold, is the ultimate luxurious retreat. Sleeping four over two stunning bedrooms, this coastal hideaway is ideal for families, friends or couples that are looking to treat themselves to a bit of rest and relaxation by the sea. Head up to the loft bedroom out onto the balcony to soak up panoramic views of the beach from the deckchairs, taking in your beautiful surroundings.
This property has a fantastic open-plan contemporary style with bright and airy neutral interiors that help to make the most of the views from the windows. Spend afternoons snuggled up on the sofa in front of the open flame gas fire in the living area, reading a good book and glancing up at the marshes through the huge patio doors. Take sumptuous baths in the bathroom where there’s room to perch a glass of wine beside you before you climb into bed; both king-size rooms are gorgeous, but the impressive loft room that benefits from a window seat overlooking the marshes as well as the balcony with sea views is the one to nab first.
Take a stroll down to Walberswick (1 mile) across the River Blyth via ferry; the beach is quieter than Southwold’s in the summer and there are plenty of cafes and pubs to stop at for a bite. Up in Southwold, everyone will be fascinated by the Under the Pier Show (1 mile) where there are many bizarre arcade machines to try. If you can’t get enough of the sand dunes and heathland, head to the National Trust’s Dunwich Heath (11 miles) which is ideal for a bracing walk. The marshes of RSPB Minsmere (12 miles) make for a great day of birdwatching too.
