This superb property, situated less than 150 metres from Southwold Beach, is the perfect romantic hideaway for two. Sleeping you both in a tranquil double bedroom with sea views from every window, this ground-floor apartment is an opportunity to embrace coastal living and take advantage of everything that Southwold has to offer. Head down to the Under the Pier Show (350 metres) for a fascinating arcade experience you won’t get anywhere else, before heading into the town centre (500 metres from the property) for a bite to eat at one of the many cafes, restaurants or pubs.

The holiday home, which sits on the end of a terraced street along the seafront, is spacious and welcoming. The shaker-style kitchen is fresh and bright with a delightful farmhouse feel, while panoramic views of the sea and pier and soft lighting in the lounge make it a cosy haven to relax in whatever the time of day. Snuggle up on the sofas, one of which is a sofa bed, and wind down with some TV after a long day of exploring the area. The bedroom adds a boutique charm to your stay; fall asleep among calming, neutral decor and wake up to the sound of the waves.

Take a stroll down to Walberswick (1.5 miles), using the foot ferry to cross the River Blyth, and enjoy a drink at one of the cafes or pubs. For a longer walk, visit rugged Dunwich Heath (11 miles), where you can walk along the cliffs, heathland and beach. If you like your boutique shops, Snape Maltings (19 miles) is the place to visit, but there are plenty of unique shops to browse in Southwold too. Somerleyton Hall (17 miles) and neighbouring Fritton Lake are also well worth a visit.

Fantastic location across the road from the beach and in between the pier and high street area; parking was pretty busy on the beach road but we always managed to find somewhere close. We had seen a number of comments about the scaffolding outside of the apartment blocking the view but not sure what view it was blocking aside from a small restrictRead moreion out of one of the bedroom windows, so we were happy that we had took a chance and ignored this as we didn't consider this to be a problem at all. Inside the apartment was a great size, particularly the living room and kitchen / dinning area - very light and airy. This was our first time visiting Southwold and the Suffolk coast area and would not hesitate in staying here again, particularly if we get the same weather!!! Hide

Nice flat, good sea view from all but the bedroom window due to scaffolding which is not being moved anytime soon. It also blocks off the outside seating area. Kitchen well equipped. Comfy bed. Bathroom smells damp due to a leaky shower screen.

As the flat was ground floor and the pavements outside were very close it felt a bit goldfish bowl.

Great position once the scaffolding has been removed . The sea view as promised on the website has been completely obscured by scaffolding and we were not advised of this or offered an alternative accomodation. Basic cottage , no dishwasher , no washing up liquid. Could do with a good clean throughout and up dating . Rusty fridge . Outdoor furniturRead moree ie camp chairs hardly usable . Hide

We had a great time at our holiday cottage. It was an excellent accommodation with very thoughtful, welcoming additions. A wonderful seaside location with lots of local places of history, great beauty and fun to visit.

The flat was in an excellent location, a direct walk across the road to the beach, a pub around the corner and quick access into town. We mostly cooked in the flat using the local products from the town butcher, fish quay and bakers as well as my own line caught sea bass.
