We loved our stay in Suffolk. The house was immaculately clean, very well equipped and very comfortable. It was a great base for us to travel around the area from. My parents lived in Suffolk 50 years ago when my dad was an instructor in the Navy. They were based at Shotley gate. My mum came on holiday with us too and we visited all the places she Read moreremembered and used to live in. We also especially loved the beach at Southwold and going to the fish huts in Aldeburgh. We had an excellent stay at Gleve House as a group of 6 adults, a baby and a toddler. The house is comfortable and spacious and had all the facilities we needed for sleeping, cooking (there is even an air fryer), eating and socialising. We had fun trying the games too. The baby equipment provided was very useful and it was great to have both a garden and a playground next door to keep the toddler entertained. The property is well located for all the places we wanted to visit (Southwold, Sutton Hoo, Framlingham, Aldeburgh, etc) and has plenty of parking - more than adequate for our 2 cars. We recommend for families the owl sanctuary, the nearby Easton Farm and the beach at Southwold. For takeaways, we recommend the fish and chip shop in Framlingham and the Indian restaurant (leaflet in local information folder). Hide
