A gorgeous escape just for two, this sweet cottage is just the place for a relaxing break in the midst of Sussex’s many attractions. Its pretty interior is complemented by a large garden and a patio where you can dine alfresco after a day of walking, cycling or enjoying the beach.

Step up and into this wonderful annexe getaway, a characterful, single-storey brick building that’s set within the owner’s grounds. Inside, you’ll find a welcoming living space with a wooden floor, softly coloured walls and sleek, inset ceiling lights. The spacious lounge area boasts a sofa and a Freeview TV, perfect for relaxing evenings. The adjacent kitchen area is compact but has all you’ll need to conjure up simple meals and snacks, dining at the L-shaped counter. When you’re feeling tired, head through to the tranquil double bedroom, which in turn leads to an en-suite shower room. You have your own garden, too – a private raised patio with a bistro set and a BBQ, where you can sip a morning cup of coffee, pour a sundowner or dine under the stars. And around the corner, there’s a large area of lawn equipped with wooden sun loungers for total rest and relaxation.

The village of Cratfield is located within a charming, unspoilt part of rural Suffolk, surrounded by quiet walks and cycling paths. Just 1.5 miles away, the village of Laxfield offers a choice of two pubs, as well as a medieval church and a shop, while Halesworth, 8 miles away, has a wider array of boutiques and places to eat. Visit the market town of Framlingham, 8.5 miles, and its magnificent 12th-century castle, or head to the coast and the charming seaside town of Southwold, 15 miles away.

We have just had the most perfect stay at the Old Dairy . Hosts could not have been friendlier or more accomodating. The Old Dairy is spotlessly clean. Very tastefully put together with fabulous attention to detail and comfort. The welcome pack was very generous and delicious and so super helpful to get through first evening and breakfast mealRead mores. Our Dogs enjoyed there welcome gifts too. The Old Dairy is situated in beautiful peaceful surroundings with lots of lovey walks. We were even treated to a fabulous walk with our host to show us where the best sunsets were to be observed. Local pub food was perfectly acceptable and a great atmosphere was enjoyed. Great beaches a short car journey away. The information folder provided by our lovely hosts was very informative. Could not recommend more highly The Old Dairy . Thank you once again for a super holiday can't wait to return. Hide

We stayed at the cottage for a week in July with our two dogs and received a very warm welcome from the owners. Communication was good leading up to our stay and during the week. Pictures were a good representation of the property. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The welcome pack was a pleasant surprise and meant we didnt have to ruRead moresh off to find a shop. It was very peaceful and within a short drive to lots of beautiful coastal villages. Southwold, Aldeburgh, Thorpeness were well worth a visit. The dogs also enjoyed the beach at Sizewell. Snape Maltings and Orford also worth a visit. The local pubs in Laxfield were also worth a visit and good for food. Hide
