Stylish and colourful romantic bolthole for two on the fringe of the idyllic National Trust Ickworth Estate. Chic and full of character, this property is lovingly decorated with pops of colour, and luxurious touches and styled with locally sourced soft furnishings. A real home-from-home, this cottage provides a relaxing atmosphere with everything you need for an escape to the Suffolk countryside. The property was as described, well presented, generally fitted out to a good standard and offered a nice view of the garden. It was a shame that from the photography we had assumed that there would be seating for two people opposite the TV. Unfortunately one of us had to spend the week sat on an angle propped in the corner of the luxurious blue Read morevelvet sofa. We knew it would be a little dark in the living room and spent most of the afternoons in the kitchen, but would have preferred the original dining chairs shown in the photos as we found the wicker ones quite uncomfortable. Storing a week's worth of clothes was a challenge as there was no drawer space in the bedroom. We also missed out on a curry at the advertised pub as it was closed with no reopening date! Hide

We very much enjoyed our stay in this perfectly decorated, comfortable and very well-equipped holiday cottage. Although the weather didn't allow us to spend much time in the garden, the view of the spring flowers in bloom was lovely. So much thought has gone into setting up this little house!

This cottage is very much 5 stars, everything about it was perfect. The owner has spent a lot trouble on the furnishings and decor it really is an outstanding place to stay. The garden is enclosed and lovely to sit in. The village itself is picturesque, and there is plenty to visit in the surrounding areas. We hope to return!
