Active families who crave large gardens, spacious living areas and bedrooms with country views at their holiday homes will love this dog-friendly property, set in tranquil countryside just 11.5 miles from Southwold, one of the most iconic destinations in the Suffolk Coast & Heaths AONB.

Facing Middleton Moor and looking out over the surrounding fields, the two-storey property offers bright and airy living areas adorned with contemporary soft furnishings across hard flooring. The whole family can wrap up in the sitting room on colder evenings, the underfloor heating beneath their feet complemented by the wood burner across from comfortable sofas. The south-facing kitchen/diner provides a safe haven for foodies to ply their trade using local ingredients, with easy access to the garden via bi-fold doors. Be sure to throw these open on warm days to let the outside in. Each of the three bedrooms on the first floor - an en-suite double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom - enjoy pretty rural views, and you’ll be as fresh as a daisy after time in the large family bathroom. The south-facing enclosed garden at the rear is an ideal space for morning coffees with a guidebook, dog-friendly children’s games on the lawn and alfresco cocktails from the safety of the patio.

The footpaths that crisscross Middleton Moor (100 metres) are a great way to explore the area surrounding the property, with the village of Middleton within 1 mile. You can reconnect with nature at the bountiful reserve at Minsmere (5 miles) or enjoy a day beside the seaside at Aldeburgh, Dunwich or Southwold (within 11.5 miles).

Loving the area we decided to rent West View for a family birthday celebration. We visited the Food Museum, and the amazing Emmerdale farm shop, two members did the Sizewell park run and we took our dog on lots of walks. The neighbours were very friendly and the house was clean and toasty warm, perfect for our family.

A great base for exploring the Suffolk coast. The family booked a week over Christmas and had a great time. The property ticks all the boxes with location, facilities and cleanliness. We look forward to booking again in the summer.

Thoroughly enjoyed Westview, the property was better internally than we'd expected - a little road noise from being so close to a main route but not that it detracted from our stay. Good equipment levels, warm house and comfy setting - great break
