An ideal place to stay for a break to explore Suffolk's countryside and coast.

Welcome to Mortimer's Barn a converted 15th Century, thatched threshing barn set in the rolling rural beauty of Preston St Mary. This 4 star accommodation is on ground floor level and lies adjacent to the owners' main barn. The decor is an eclectic mix of antiques and modern furniture. Shop: 2 miles. Pub: 500 metres

Ground Floor:
Sitting Room/Dining Area with large corner sofa unit, flat screen TV, DVD player (DVD library available) CD/radio/tape. Teak and steel table and 4 chairs, coffee table etc.
Kitchen is well equipped with electric steel cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave. 
Lobby with tumble drier and hanging area for wet clothes and boots
Bedroom with fitted wardrobes, dressing table etc. crisp cotton linen and feather duvet and pillows.
Bathroom with bath, separate shower, washbasin and w.c.

Garden: Guests are welcome to use the garden designer owner's garden, which includes several sitting out areas to enjoy the peace and beauty. There is a recently resurfaced hard surface tennis court which has floodlights for nightime use - please bring your own racquets and tennis shoes. There is a large pond filled with ornamental carp, a fountain and ducks and moorhens who make this their home too. Many other species of bird can also be seen from here: white doves who live in an ornamental dovecote, swift, swallow, house martin, pied wagtail, woodpeckers, owls, heron etc. There is a book for identification in the property. A recently constructed potager or ornamental vegetable garden makes another peaceful place to sit and the chickens who live here provide the eggs in the welcome pack. Electrified gates (fobs issued for guests)
