Welcome to Mortimer's Barn a converted 15th Century, thatched threshing barn set in the rolling rural beauty of Preston St Mary. Garden: Guests are welcome to use the garden designer owner's garden which has several sitting out areas to enjoy the peace and beauty. There's a recently resurfaced, floodlit, hard surface tennis court. There is a fountain, a large pond with ornamental carp where ducks and moorhens make their home. A recently constructed potager (ornamental vegetable garden) is another peaceful place to sit and the chickens who live here provide the eggs in the welcome pack. Electrified gates (fobs issued for guests).
Parking: Ample covered parking, secure storage for bikes.

Preston St Mary is a quiet village just outside Lavenham, England's finest medieval village and food capital of Suffolk. Lavenham is a wonderful place to visit with interesting shops and galleries and great restaurants and pubs serving excellent food. An ideal place to stay for a break to explore Suffolk's countryside and coast.
