Much of the Seaside resort of Felixstowe is only about 100 years old. This busy town standing at the mouth of the rivers Deben and Orwell, benefits from a four mile stretch of a sand and shingle beach a two mile paved promenade dotted with colourful beach huts and beautifully kept seafront gardens. Other than enjoying the sea views from any well placed seats along the prom, visitors can enjoy activities such as coastal walks, sailing, fishing, golf or bird watching to name but a few. There are Martello Towers along this stretch of coastline, built to resist a potential invasion by Napoleon. The main town of Felixstowe offers the visitor a good selections of shops, restaurants, seafront bars, seaside attractions, cinema, leisure centre with swimming pool, Tourist Information, Spa Theatre and a viewing point where many of the world's largest container ships arrive at the busy Port of Felixstowe.
The Coach House is one of the oldest properties in the area, dating from 1863. It is in an excellent position for a seaside holiday, being quietly situated just a few minutes' walk from the beach. Pub: 500 yds Shops: 15 minute walk.
