Sherfield Cottage (AL150)

Snape is best known as the venue for the Aldeburgh Festival and for other events throughout the year held in the Maltings Concert Hall. However, the pretty village, at the head of the tidal estuary, is a popular holiday venue in its own right and central for exploring the unique area of the Suffolk Heritage Coast - the tidal estuary and network of footpaths are one of the most interesting areas of Suffolk for exploring on foot. There is easy access to the fascinating coastal town of Aldeburgh, plus castles and much more to explore at Framlingham and Orford. The burial treasures at Sutton Hoo, near Woodbridge, should not be missed either.   

Sherfield Cottage, dating back to the 17th century, is set in a large secluded garden on the edge of the Snape Marshes nature reserve. Retaining many period features, the cottage is within easy walking distance of the Village pubs, Village shop and the Snape Maltings Concert Hall. Shop: 350 yds  Pub: 250 yds

The two staircases and the Cottage bedrooms are inter-connected. This means Bedroom 2 is reached through Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 4 is reached through Bedroom 3. There is also a connecting door from Bedroom 2 and 3. 

Garden: Large gardens with garden furniture.
Parking: Parking to the front of the Cottage for up to three cars.
Heating: Electric night storage heaters. Additional heating from wood burning stoves.
Pets: Well-behaved dogs allowed (note that the garden is not secure).
